Fans of provocative and innovative theater will find much to their liking in Caryl Churchill 's Cloud Nine . The first act is set in a British colony of Africa during Victorian times and centers on the family and household life of the administrator, Clive. His wife Betty is played by a man; their African servant is a black man played by a white actor; daughter Victoria is a stuffed doll; and their son Edward is a very effeminate boy played by a woman.

A BUSHFIRE was within six kilometres of the central Victorian town of Raglan yesterday after a fuel-reduction burn jumped its containment lines. The town's 500 residents were told to activate their bushfire plans and monitor the blaze, which had burnt 1200 hectares of land in and around the Mount Buangor State Park. Dundee United's on-loan defender Andy Webster insists he wants another crack at becoming a first-team regular at Rangers when he returns in the summer. The former Hearts centre-half recently made a return to the international stage after a four-year exile as he continues to impress in the Terrors' defence.
